Our Best Selling Sausages

cooked sausages on a wooden chopping board, the sausages are garnished with slices of lemon, sprigs of rosemary and grilled cherry tomatoes

Our Cumberland sausage has won the North West Regional Food awards, best product, 5 years in a row. They are also our most popular item in the shop. Made with pork from local farmer Steve, we handcraft each sausage in the back of the shop. My son Dan also loves to spend time testing out new flavour combinations.

We love giving our customers advice on what to buy

cooked joint of meat being sliced by a butcher who is wearing food preperation gloves, the meat is chared around the outside, but pink in the middle.

If you are looking for something a bit more adventrous why not think about exploring our game range. You have to give us a call or pop into the shop to find out what we have in, as our game is sold to us by local hunters, so it depends what has been shot that week.

Looking for something a little different?

a plate of served food which includes a leg of partidge with some vegetables and gravy. In the background is a serving plate which has a whole roasted bird.

I like to roast partridge spatchcock along side honey and butternut squash. Check out this BBC good food recipe. Don’t worry about the prep instructions we can prep the bird for you. If you ask my Dad back in the day he would probably recommend you some variation of a Game Keepers pie. If that is more your fancy take a look at this recipe.
