a black an white image of the shop owners grandard standing behind a large dark cow upclose image of the shop owners dad wearing a blue and white stripey apron, standing directly next to a very large cut of meat hanging from the ceiling, the image looks a bit blurry, possibly because it is an old image the owner as a child standing in the back of the butcher shop holding up a pig ready to prepar it, he is wearing the same blue and white apron as the picture of his dad, the image looks the same quality and is taken in the same place with the same meat

Family Business Since 1935

This shop has always been a family butcher. My Grandad purchased the property after it was built in 1935, he had both me and my Dad in aprons from an early age.

I am now proud to say that my son Dan is also planning to join me in running the business. He is already found behind the counter and is studying at the local college for a level 2 in Hospitality and Catering.

We are most proud of our award winning sausages

My dads favorite has always been the classic Chipolata, our chipolatas are nothing but pork sausage meat, and Dad likes it so much because it really shows how great our pork meat is. No fancy bits, just great pork.

My son Dan's favorite is Cheddar with Jalepeno, Dan really loves playing around and creating new flavours. My choice has to be the local classic Cumberland, I think it is a five time award wining for reason, plus everyone loves a Cumberland sausage for breakfast in the North West.

We love talking to our customers in the shop

Covid has been a really tough time for everyone. And it is heartbreaking for the community here to see how the footfall from the main street has dropped off. We are really keen to see people wanting to come back to the high street, and stop by our shop.
